This oil sketching workshop will be taking place in the beautiful surroundings of Stanton Guildhouse with far reaching views, and focuses on painting the local landscape with oils and palette knife, led by renowned Cotswold artist Rupert Aker.

We will work outside if the weather is fine and explore how to sketch quickly with a palette knife and oils. Using a limited colour palette – you will complete several paintings and choose the one you’d like to frame and take home.

All materials (paints, palette knife, easels, palettes and a frame) are provided – so just turn up in some clothes you don’t mind getting paint on!

The workshop is suitable for novices and improvers who are interested in having a go at painting quick, impressionist sketches with palette knife and oils.

This event will take place at the  Stanton Guildhouse which is nestled on the hill overlooking Cotswold countryside. There is free parking as well as beautiful onsite accommodation available to book – email info@broadwayartsfestival.com to enquire/book.
