Painting interiors can be a highly enjoyable challenge. A cosy comfy chair with a book open on it and some lamp light can tell an intimate story.

On this 1 day workshop with artist Emma Perring you will learn how to choose a composition from the surroundings, how to simplify the scene, to organise values from light to dark and think about colour combinations.

You should leave with some small sketches and your oil painting of an interior. We will be working from life, with the option of alternatively working from a provided reference picture.

Some prior oil painting experience recommended, beginners that have used oil paint at least a few times before and intermediates plus.
