A spin art-producing bicycle – a cross between a Rube Goldberg contraption and a Damien Hirst painting factory machine. Workshop participants add poster paint to cartridge paper mounted on a spinning platter, producing endlessly varied colourful outcomes to take home and keep.

Children tend to make better spin-painters as they are fearless in their application of colour and free of self-criticism, but all ages are welcome! Suitable for anyone aged 3 and up, younger children will need some assistance from an adult.

The workshop will be led (and powered!) by art teacher Daniel Lassam-Jones: “I’ve seen hundreds of paintings created on the Cycle-Delic machine, and no two are even slightly alike!

All materials will be provided, and a painting session takes about 10 minutes. Come along at the start of the session and you are welcome to stay for the hour as it’s great fun watching others as well as having your go.

No previous spin-painting experience is necessary!

This workshop will take place in the small gazebo on the smaller village green in the centre of the village next to the main green, near the ticket office.

Tickets £7  (5 available each hour throughout the day – see other listings for sessions)

Tickets go on sale through the website at 10am on 11th March, and 1 week earlier (4th March) for Benefactors of the festival who qualify for Priority Booking.
