A relaxed teen acrylics workshop aimed at 12-17 year olds. Lots of creative fun as a group, learning how to use acrylic paint.

You will be making an abstract acrylic painting on board and learning about how to use a limited palette, texture, colour and shape to compose and express ideas and to create tone and depth. Great for those who enjoy art in their spare time, are preparing for art GCSE or A level …or simply want to have a go at something different!

We will be using landscape to steer a journey into abstraction.  You can stay on the journey or stop at a more realistic stage.  You will explore a variety of techniques using simple tools with acrylic paint before having to time to complete a more finished image.  The techniques can support your own art work and exam coursework.

Come along with a few friends. You are more than welcome to bring music.

This workshop will be led by the inspirational and experienced teacher, Sara Chandler, who was head of art at Chipping Campden School for many years. Sara knows how to get a teen to relax and get creative in a supportive environment.

Bring an old shirt or apron to protect your clothes. Everything else needed will be provided.

This event will be taking place in the Lifford Hall in Broadway.
