On Sunday 7th June Verity Elson, Director of the Gordon Russell Design Museum, will be giving a talk exploring the life and work of Gordon Russell – one of the most important names in British furniture design.
The remarkable story of Gordon Russell and his company in Broadway spans Arts and Crafts cabinetmaking, Modernism, The Festival of Britain, and beyond.
Featuring images from the museum’s unique and rarely-seen archive, Verity will reflect not only on Broadway’s place in design history but also on the company’s legacy and relevance to design today.
This talk will take place in the Edinburgh room at The Lygon Arms hotel on the High Street in Broadway.
