‘Hamlet’ by The Lord Chamberlain’s Men – Outdoor Theatre at Broadway Tower

With a history stretching back to William Shakespeare himself they present this great play as he first saw it, in the open air, with an all male cast and Elizabethan costumes, music and dance.
Sitting under the same stars that Shakespeare sat under and hearing his poetry brought to life the company offer an unparalleled authentic, excellent and magical experience; one that is truly unique. They are renowned for productions of great vivacity, clarity, quality and accessibility.
Their productions champion authenticity whilst breathing fresh, new life into these extraordinary plays. Seeing a production by The Lord Chamberlain’s Men will ignite, rekindle or maintain a burning passion in the greatest playwright the world has ever seen.
The performance will take place in the field adjacent to the tower, with car parking and a picnic area at one end and the performance at the other.
- This is a ‘Rain or Shine’ performance that will be taking place outside and will go ahead despite rain or the like (no refunds)
- Bring camping chairs and dress warm even on a hot day as temperatures dip later on, so do bring blankets and a warm coat.
- Car parking is included in the price of your ticket
- Dogs are not permitted
- There will be parking near to the performance area for those with mobility issues, but please note the performance is in a field with uneven ground.
- The audience area will open at 6pm – those picnicking in the designated area can arrive from 5:15pm – gates open for non-picnickers at 6pm
Refreshments:
- You are welcome to bring your own drinks and reusable plastic picnic glasses
- You can bring a picnic to enjoy in the designated area near the parking from 5:15pm, however picnics need to be consumed before the performance starts at 7pm.
- We will have a bar selling wine, Prosecco, beer and soft drinks to keep you topped up which will be open before the performance and during the short interval. Payment by card is preferred.
- The guys from BeauFort Spirit will be in residence with their pop-up Landrover bar serving refreshing cocktails and boozy slushies along with non-alcoholic options.
- The Really Awesome Coffee Truck will be serving hot drinks and snacks
