Richard Ormond CBE, who is Art Historical Advisor to the Festival, was formerly Director of the National Maritime Museum and Deputy Director of the National Portrait Gallery will give a talk ‘Sargent in Broadway’ in the Lifford Hall today, Friday 3rd June, starting at 6pm.

Richard is the grandson of Violet Sargent Ormond, the sister of John Singer Sargent,  who was the subject of many of Sargent’s paintings. Richard has written several books about Sargent and other painters.
