The distinguished American portrait painter Michael Shane Neal will be in conversation with Arts Festival Ambassador and Great-Nephew of John Singer Sargent, Richard Ormond, former director of the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich and art scholar.

In a wide-ranging discussion, they will explore the creative process of painting, and the practicalities of being an artist, with particular reference to John Singer Sargent. Both speakers are devoted admirers of the work of Sargent, and this event marks the 100th anniversary of his death.

The ticket price for this talk includes entry to the exhibition at the Broadway Museum and Art Gallery celebrating the Sargent anniversary.
