Thu June 12, 2025 @ 11:00 am - 4:30 pm BST
Experience picture framing first hand and mix fun with a sense of achievement, taking away with you your own completed frame at the end of the workshop.
A practical and enjoyable workshop for beginners run by framer and tutor Mark Higgins where principles and key tools will be first demonstrated – then you will try everything out yourself as you complete your own frame.
The idea is to build confidence should you consider taking picture framing up either as a hobby or small business enterprise. Everything in the workshop can be replicated at home with a modest purchase of key tools.
Mark Higgins is a qualified Fine Art Trade Guild framer and regularly runs framing courses for beginners.
Participants are invited to bring one image 26cm x 21cm, a 10” x8” photograph would be suitable. A larger image can be brought along in which case we will be cropping it down to this size.
All the equipment and materials are provided to enable each participant to complete one frame they can take away ready to hang. A set of notes will be provided on next steps should participants wish to follow up on their framing workshop experience.
There will be stock of images should any participant not wish to, or forgets to, bring their own.
Participants should bring lunch and a pencil and pad should they wish to take some notes.
