We are delighted to announce that the winner of the Visitor’s Choice Prize 2016, awarded to the artist whose work was voted for as ‘best in show’ at the Open Art Exhibition ‘conflict’ held at Little Buckland Gallery during the 2016 Festival, is artist Peter Granville-Edmunds with ‘Why’.
Peter studied Fine Art at St Albans in Hertfordshire. He has pursued an adventurous life travelling for many years in the Yemen and Asia. Peter’s work is always an adventure, a never ending journey, an exploration, a discovery, and a physical and intellectual experience.
He is passionately interested in the process of ‘getting there’, continuously reworking, rubbing down, and scraping the surface, which he describes as the ‘soul of the painting’.
