Wheel Throwing Ceramics Workshop with Claire Watson
Sun June 8, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm BST
During this half day in the pottery studio in the stunning Stanton Guildhouse you will learn how to prep the clay pre-throwing and how to centre and pull up a simple form. The therapeutic qualities of clay will have you wanting more! At the end of the session you will have one form which will be glazed and fired. You will be informed when to collect.
This workshop is aimed at complete beginners, but if it’s been a while since you last picked up clay this could be a perfect reintroduction.
Claire runs regular pottery classes for beginners and experienced and has been teaching for 13 years, adults and children. Claire teaches Art and printmaking along side ceramics and has a love for teaching and helping people reach their potential.
Participants will have the options to have one piece fired at the end of their session and the cost of this will be based on weight of the object and paid directly to Claire Watson.
All materials and tools will be provided.
Tickets £45 (6 Place) (Identical workshop in the afternoon also)
