The annual Julia & Martin Wilson Short Story Prize is now open for entries!

Entries need to be a maximum of 2,000 words with up to two entries allowed per entrant.

There is no theme to adhere to.

2021 Prizes:

Main prize (over 18s): £400
Ages 14-18yrs: £100
Age 13 and under: £50

There is a fee of £10 per entry for over 18s, but the competition is free to enter for under 18s.

Please note:

• strict limit of 2,000 words or less – entrants asked to state the word count on their entry alongside the story title
• Adult entrants: please use spell-check and grammar-check tools and thoroughly proof-read before submitting
• Parents of u18 entrants: we would like to discourage you from influencing or perfecting your child’s entry
• Under 18s: Enthusiasm and originality is encouraged!
• Each entrant allowed to submit up to 2 entries (at £10 each for adults, free for u18s)

The deadline for entries is 5pm on Wednesday 31st March 2021.

Winners will be announced on Friday 30th April 2021 and notified by phone and email.

Winning stories will be shared for all to enjoy on the Broadway Arts Festival website.
