Relief Sculpture is significant in the world of art, from ancient times to the present day and continues as a means of creative expression. This workshop will equip you with the skills and knowledge to create your own cast relief artworks- whether something from nature to something more geometric or abstract.

Join experienced teacher and sculptor Neil Wood for a morning of creativity. In this relief sculpting workshop you will be creating your own ‘relief’ by pressing objects and textures into a bed of clay to create your relief design. You’ll then make a mould and then plaster cast of your work which can be coloured and varnished at later date.

In this workshop you will create a cast relief sculpture, by pressing your design into a bed of clay then making a plaster cast. This is a simple and very effective process with great results.
