This has allowed him regular opportunities to work with celebrated film composers such as Hans Zimmer, Alexandre Desplat and Danny Elfman. He has performed as a featured soloist on scores to notable blockbusters including ‘Batman vs Superman’, ‘Dunkirk’ (Hans Zimmer) & ‘Pirates of the Caribbean – Dead Men Tell No Tales’ (Geoff Zanelli). He has worked in the recording studios of Los Angeles with artists such as Neil Young, Barbra Streisand, Adele and Michael Buble.
An experienced performer, Ben has appeared alongside Paul Simon, Herbie Hancock, Gloria Estefan, Danny Elfman, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli and recently performed as an improvising soloist with Steve Wonder at The Forum, Los Angeles.
Recently, Ben has collaborated on his own recording projects with renown musicians such as jazz vibraphonist Gary Burton, classical cellist Lynn Harrell and percussionist Peter Erskine. His latest release ‘The LA Sessions’ (2016) featured 26 LA based musicians performing in various configurations and styles from classical & swing to gospel.
