A 2 day workshop for participants of any experience to relax and let nature take the creative strain.
Working with printmaker Julie Leach, who collaborates with nature to make work, participants will engage outdoors as hunters and gatherers of nature’s own marks.
Participants will use a broad range of print techniques to collect, curate and develop a flexible sketchbook of organic artistry.

Participants will explore ways to develop a deeper connection with time and place through direct engagement with nature as artist. In the delightful surrounds of the Little Buckland Gallery delegates will spend time collecting existing marks and also facilitating nature’s making of marks by plants, animals, the elements and natural processes.
Sketchbooks will be treated flexibly and liberally whilst print techniques will offer primarily spontaneous, direct and readily accessible methods.

Julie Leach is an artist printmaker who collaborates with nature to create work that documents moments of flux in the natural world around her. Julie has an MA (distinction) in Multidisciplinary Printmaking, an RBSA Print Prize award and exhibits in the UK and internationally with both commercial and public galleries. She has many years of experience as an arts education professional.
