Applications for the annual student arts grants offered by Broadway Arts Festival Trust are now open for 2017!

Each year, arts grants are made to local students age 18 or over on September 1st, starting or already in full time education in the arts. These bursaries apply to students studying Fine Art, Applied Arts, Music or the Performing Arts.
The grants are awarded in order to help students with course expenses and travel for their field of study. Priority will be given to applicants who currently reside in the parish of Broadway or WR12 postcode, but applications will also be considered from neighbouring areas.

Last year, six grants were awarded to students on a wide range of courses from the world of opera and musical theatre, to film studies and textile design & manufacture. Read more about last years’ recipients.

Chloe Williams was awarded an arts grant last year and is studying for a BA in Textiles Innovation & Design at Loughborough University:
“The Broadway Arts Festival grant has enabled me to push my practical work as far I can, allowing me to buy supplies and explore creative processes where previously I might have been limited by cost. This meant that I was successful in the Bradford Textiles Society competition, where I was awarded 1st prize in the British Wool Category, and most recently I have been selected to exhibit in London at the Business Design Centre in Part 1 of New Designers. I am hugely grateful to the Broadway Arts Festival for their funding, it has been a tremendous support for me throughout my degree!”
