The theme for the 2018 competition was ‘Reflection’. The competition was open to any artist, in any medium including photography, sculpture, film, ceramics and design makers.

200 of the entries are being shown in a prestigious selling exhibition at Little Buckland Gallery throughout the 2018 Festival June 8-17 open daily from 10:30 – 5pm (free entry).
Judging took place on the 24th May and the winners announced on the 25th May. The 2018 judging panel was chaired by the eminent engraver and printmaker Norman Ackroyd, RA.

- Main Prize £1000 awarded to Australian artist Jill Dunkerton for ‘The River Runs Through It’ (image shown above) – Sponsored by John Noott Contemporary Art
- 3D Prize £500 awarded to Richard Cresswell for ‘Pebble Squared’ – Sponsored by Little Buckland Gallery
- Local Artist’s Prize £500 awarded to Diana Green for ‘Landscape of The Student Room – Bookshelf’ – Sponsored by The Richard Hagen Gallery
- Best 1st Time Entrant £500 awarded to Angela Dooley for ‘Going Up’ The HSBC Building Reflected in The Hyatt Birmingham – Sponsored by Hazlewoods
