Join us for an outdoor production of Othello, in the stunning private grounds of Abbots Grange in the centre of Broadway.
A tragedy set in Venice and Cyprus, the play depicts the Moorish military commander Othello as he is manipulated by his ensign into suspecting his wife Desdemona of infidelity. Othello is widely considered one of Shakespeare’s greatest works and is usually classified among his major tragedies alongside Macbeth, King Lear, and Hamlet.
With a history stretching back to William Shakespeare himself they present this great play as he first saw it, in the open air, with an all male cast and Elizabethan costumes, music and dance.
Sitting under the same stars that Shakespeare sat under and hearing his poetry brought to life the company offer an unparalleled authentic, excellent and magical experience; one that is truly unique. They are renowned for productions of great vivacity, clarity, quality and accessibility.
Their productions champion authenticity whilst breathing fresh, new life into these extraordinary plays. Seeing a production by The Lord Chamberlain’s Men will ignite, rekindle or maintain a burning passion in the greatest playwright the world has ever seen.

This performance will take place in the exclusive private grounds of  Abbots Grange in the centre of Broadway, just steps from the village green. Built in the early part of 14th-century as the summer manor house and retreat for the Abbot of Pershore, it’s original medieval architecture, setting and serenity have attracted some remarkable house guests including Claude Monet, Oscar Wilde, John Singer Sargent, Mark Twain and Edward Elgar.
