Oil Painting En Plein Air Workshop at Hidcote Manor Gardens (National Trust) with Robin Mason
Fri June 24, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm BST
| £95.00This workshop provides an exclusive opportunity to spend the day painting in one of the most famous Arts and Crafts gardens in the country featuring intricately designed spectacular outdoor ‘rooms’.
There will be plenty of opportunity to capture the atmosphere of Hidcote Manor Gardens (National Trust) when the gardens are in full bloom on this one day workshop hosted by landscape artist Robin Mason.
Located in the beautiful rolling Cotswold Hills near Chipping Campden, Hidcote is a short 15 minute drive from Broadway.
Robin Mason is represented by galleries across the country and has exhibited at The Mall Galleries in London. We are delighted that he’s agreed to host this very special exclusive workshop for us. His paintings make strong use of light and shade as the basis for his compositions and he’ll share his techniques and approach to en plein air painting with you.
The workshop will consist of both demonstrations by Robin as well as working individually at this iconic location. Robin will provide individual guidance as you paint.
We have chosen to host this workshop on a Friday as it is the quietest day of the week to visit. The gardens can get extremely busy at weekends in June when the gardens are at their most magnificent. We’ve worked with the team at the National Trust to give you the best opportunity to enjoy a relaxing, creative experience. The cost of your entry to the gardens is included in the ticket price.
Accessibility: The gardens are quite extensive with slopes, steps and some narrow and uneven paths. The workshop will take place in two different parts of the garden during the day so that you get the best combination of access to the gardens and maximum tuition. If you have any concerns about accessibility at the gardens please view the National Trust’s Access statement.
There is ample free parking onsite, plus cafe.
