DESCRIPTION:Join us for an outdoor production of Hamlet\, in the stunning iconic location of Broadway Tower.\nWith a history stretching back to William Shakespeare himself they present this great play as he first saw it\, in the open air\, with an all male cast and Elizabethan costumes\, music and dance.\nSitting under the same stars that Shakespeare sat under and hearing his poetry brought to life the company offer an unparalleled authentic\, excellent and magical experience; one that is truly unique. They are renowned for productions of great vivacity\, clarity\, quality and accessibility.\nTheir productions champion authenticity whilst breathing fresh\, new life into these extraordinary plays. Seeing a production by The Lord Chamberlain’s Men will ignite\, rekindle or maintain a burning passion in the greatest playwright the world has ever seen.\n\n\nThe performance will take place in the field adjacent to the tower\, with car parking and a picnic area at one end and the performance at the other.\n\n\n\nThis is a ‘Rain or Shine’ performance that will be taking place outside and will go ahead despite rain or the like (no refunds) – see the policy on weather\nBring camping chairs and dress warm even on a hot day as temperatures dip later on\, so do bring blankets and a warm coat.\nCar parking is included in the price of your ticket\nDogs are not permitted\nThere will be parking near to the performance area for those with mobility issues\, but please note the performance is in a field with uneven ground.\nThe audience area will open at 6pm – those picnicking in the designated area can arrive from 5:15pm – gates open for non-picnickers at 6pm\n\n\nRefreshments: \n\nYou can bring a picnic to enjoy in the designated area near the parking from 5:15pm\, however picnics need to be consumed before the performance starts at 7pm.\nThe guys from Moongazing Hare Bars will be in residence with their horse box  bar serving beer\, cider\, wine\, Prosecco and some classic cocktails to keep you topped up which will be open before the performance and during the short interval.\nThe Really Awesome Coffee Truck will be serving hot drinks and snacks\n\n\n\nThis event is kindly sponsored by Charles Stanley Wealth Managers\n\nTickets £23

SUMMARY:En Plein Air at Broadway Tower: Broadway Views in Oil with Georgina Potter
DESCRIPTION:This one day workshop will focus on teaching how to paint ‘en plein air’ in oils at the iconic Broadway Tower with artist Georgina Potter. \nGeorgina works very quickly making large\, expressive and loose marks\, creating an energetic painting.  Georgina will share her techniques and approach to oil painting.  The day will consist of a demonstration by Georgina and opportunities to work individually\, with guidance. \nGeorgina Potter is an observational British artist primarily renowned for her ability to record the weather and its resulting impact on life\, documenting what she sees in a lively expressive manner. \nShe has exhibited at many shows such as The Royal Institute of Oil Painters\, ING Discerning Eye and The Royal Society of Marine Artists and has won prizes for her work. \nTickets £80  (13 available) \nTickets go on sale through the website at 10am on 11th March\, and 1 week earlier (4th March) for Benefactors of the festival who qualify for Priority Booking. \nYou can become a Benefactor for as little as £50 and support our Outreach Projects in doing so\, applications are now open. \n  \nMaterials list \n– Cheap and cheerful board/panels (no bigger than 30cm x 30cm) preferably primed in a very loose wash of Burnt sienna. It is REALLY important that everyone pre primes their boards! Preferably 3 panels. \n– Oil Paints \nGeorgina uses: \n\n1 black –  lamp black or ivory black\n2 blues of following choices – Cerulean\, cobalt\, ultramarine\, kings blue deep.\n2 reds – Cadmium and alizarin crimson or alternative to both.\n2 yellows – yellow ochre or naples yellow and cadmium yellow or cadmium yellow light\nTurquoise – any type\nTitanium white\n\nBrushes – whatever you have but definitely for oil painting (not watercolour brushes). Good also to have two flat headed brushes such as Pro Arte Hog brush long flat Series A. \nThinner – Georgina uses Zest It\, but people are welcome to use Turpentine or White spirit. Make sure you have a separate small jar or pot for painting so you don’t have to use the brush cleaner jar. \nGuests also need to bring: \n\nPochade box or easel/palette set up and tripod\nIf you prefer to sit whilst painting or want somewhere to sit back- bring a stool or light-weight camping chair\n1 pack of baby wipes\n1 kitchen roll\nApron\n1 plastic bag for rubbish\n\nBroadway Tower: \n \n  \nArtist Georgina Potter:
