SUMMARY:Wheel Throwing Ceramics Workshop with Claire Watson
DESCRIPTION:During this half day in the pottery studio in the stunning Stanton Guildhouse you will learn how to prep the clay pre-throwing and how to centre and pull up a simple form. The therapeutic qualities of clay will have you wanting more! At the end of the session you will have one form which will be glazed and fired. You will be informed when to collect. \nThis workshop is aimed at complete beginners\, but if it’s been a while since you last picked up clay this could be a perfect reintroduction. \nClaire runs regular pottery classes for beginners and experienced and has been teaching adults and children for 13 years. Claire teaches Art and printmaking alongside ceramics and has a love for teaching and helping people reach their potential. \nParticipants will have the option to have one piece fired at the end of their session and the cost of this will be based on weight of the object and paid directly to Claire Watson. \nAll materials and tools will be provided. \nTickets £45  (6 Places) (Identical workshop in the morning also) \nAccess: Please note that the pottery studio is not wheelchair accessible and is down a series of steps.
