SUMMARY:Tushar Sabale En Plein Air Painting Demonstration and 'Stay & Paint' at The Orchard Farm
DESCRIPTION:Tushar Sabale is an award winning artist who mainly paints from life in oil colours but occasionally enjoys painting objects in his studio too. \nIn this en plein air demo\, Tushar will show how he chooses a subject\, makes his composition and captures light and atmosphere in his paintings. You will be able to see how he makes colour choices and uses his palette through the entire process of painting. Tushar will also explain how he uses observation\, memory and mental notes to paint from life in the changing weather conditions. \nThe demo will take place in open air in the gardens but may be moved under shelter in event of any bad weather.  \nAfter the demo\, if you opt for ‘Stay and paint’ Tushar will come around every artist to see their progress and offer some guidance where necessary.  \nAs well as being an Ambassador for the festival and co-founder of ‘London Plein Air Painters’\, he is also a member of The Wapping Group of Artists\, Chelsea Art Society and British Plein Air Painters.  \nHe has won numerous National and International Awards and exhibited widely across the country including at the Mall Galleries for the ROI\, NEAC\, RSMA and ING Discerning Eye. Tushar appeared on Sky Arts ‘Landscape Artist of the Year’- Series 8 as one of the Pod artists that was filmed at Royal Ascot. He has been on a ‘Panel of Judges’ and a ‘Guest of honour’ on many occasions. You can listen to him on podcasts and learn more about his works on www.tusharsabale.com \nThe spectacular gardens of The Orchard Farm on the Upper High Street in Broadway include formal and informal planting\, contemporary sculpture\, a lake and large pond and Cotswold architecture. \nStay & Paint: \nArtists have the option of staying on after the demonstration and spending the rest of the afternoon painting in the gardens at The Orchard Farm. SUMMARY:2026 Art Competition Exhibition of Finalists
DESCRIPTION:Our annual open art competition is open to any artist in any medium\, professional & amateur.\nArtists’ work that is selected for the final judging stage forms an exclusive selling exhibition of 150 works at Theatrebarn in Bretforton (15 mins drive from Broadway) from Friday 25th September – Sunday 4th October\, open daily from 11am – 4pm. Entry to the exhibition is free and there is ample free parking onsite. \nWe received 670 entries from across the UK in 2025\, and the 150 finalists and prize-winners form this exclusive selling exhibition in the beautiful buildings and grounds of Theatrebarn. \nThe exhibition is an exciting array of beautiful works in a huge range of style and to fit every budget. Perfect if you have a bare wall\, nook or windowsill and are looking for a bespoke piece of British art\, or to simply admire! \nAll the works are available to buy. If you see a piece that you would like to purchase\, please go to the sales desk and they will assist you. \nYou will have a chance to see one of our finalists at work during your visit as we have a schedule of live demonstrations for the duration of the exhibition\, 2 per day. \nBroadway Arts Festival is an arts charity\, so all the funds raised go towards their outreach projects with local schools\, bursaries for local university arts students and the next festival. \nCast your vote for Visitors’ Choice! \nWe also have a Visitors’ Choice prize. So do cast your vote for your favourite entry when you visit (one vote permitted per visitor). DESCRIPTION:artBEAT is the opening 3 day weekend for the festival that showcases the work of some of Britain’s top artists\, designers and artisans in the marquees on the village green in this idyllic Cotswold village. \nThroughout the weekend the marquees house 50+ talented artists\, printmakers\, sculptors\, jewellers\, ceramicists\, designer-makers and a host of traditional artisans demonstrating their skills & selling their work direct to the public.
