SUMMARY:2026 Art Competition Exhibition of Finalists
DESCRIPTION:Our annual open art competition is open to any artist in any medium\, professional & amateur.\nArtists’ work that is selected for the final judging stage forms an exclusive selling exhibition of 150 works at Theatrebarn in Bretforton (15 mins drive from Broadway) from Friday 25th September – Sunday 4th October\, open daily from 11am – 4pm. Entry to the exhibition is free and there is ample free parking onsite. \nWe received 677 entries from across the UK\, and the 150 finalists and prize-winners form this exclusive selling exhibition in the beautiful buildings and grounds of Theatrebarn. \nThe exhibition is an exciting array of beautiful works in a huge range of style and to fit every budget. Perfect if you have a bare wall\, nook or windowsill and are looking for a bespoke piece of British art\, or to simply admire! \nAll the works are available to buy. If you see a piece that you would like to purchase\, please go to the sales desk and they will assist you. \nYou will have a chance to see one of our finalists at work during your visit as we have a schedule of live demonstrations for the duration of the exhibition. \nBroadway Arts Festival is an arts charity\, so all the funds raised go towards their outreach projects with local schools\, bursaries for local university arts students and the next festival. \nCast your vote for Visitors’ Choice! \nWe also have a Visitors’ Choice prize. So do cast your vote for your favourite entry when you visit (one vote permitted per visitor). The prize winner will be announced and informed on the afternoon of Sunday 4th October! \nWe have a panel of esteemed judges\, including category judges from the sponsors. \n\n  \n  \n \n \n  \n \n\n \n

DESCRIPTION:artBEAT is the opening 3 day weekend for the festival that showcases the work of some of Britain’s top artists\, designers and artisans in the marquees on the village green in this idyllic Cotswold village. \nThroughout the weekend the marquees house 50+ talented artists\, printmakers\, sculptors\, jewellers\, ceramicists\, designer-makers and a host of traditional artisans demonstrating their skills & selling their work direct to the public. Bring the whole family to watch these talented artists at work. \nOpen Friday 11th\, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th June from 10:30am to 4:30pm daily. \nEntry is just £1 (under 16’s free) \nApplications to take a stand at artBEAT open in August 2026. DESCRIPTION:Join us in the historic Russell House Gardens in Broadway\, famously painted by John Singer Sargent in his masterpiece Carnation\, Lily\, Lily\, Rose. This unique experience offers an hour-long time slot where you can observe 3 professional artists as they capture a scene featuring models dressed in the attire of Sargent’s era. Stroll through the beautiful garden\, soak up the 19th-century ambience\, and witness artistic talent in action. \nYour ticket for a 1 hour time slot to watch the demonstration also includes access to the garden\, an invitation to return at 3 pm for an exhibition of the completed paintings and the chance to engage with the artists. \nThis is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for art lovers\, gardeners and history enthusiasts alike—don’t miss out! \nThe Artists: \nHaidee-Jo Summers VPROI RSMA (Festival Ambassador)– Haidee-Jo is Vice President of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and her work is a celebration of light filled moments revealed in rich and vibrant oil paint. She finds beauty in the ordinary\, mundane\, and intimate rather than the grand vista.   She has written two books on oil painting. \nDavid Curtis ROI RSMA – David is one of the country’s finest and best-known painters.  He has won numerous awards and has written several books.  He represents the gold standard of modern day “real painters”. \nTushar Sabale WGA\, CAS (Festival Ambassador) – Tushar is an award-winning Indian born\, British artist based in London.  He paints mainly from life and plein air in oil colours but occasionally enjoys painting objects.  He places his work between Impressionism and Realism and some Luminist touches. \nThe artists will start at 11am and finish by 3pm\, so this time slot is for the final hour. There will be a chance to chat with the artists immediately afterwards. \nTickets £20 \nTickets go on sale through the website at 10am on 15th March\, and 1 week eaerlier for festival benefactors who benefit from priority booking. \n  \n \nThe Gardens at Russell House \n  \n \n  \n  \n
