
Wall Hanging Loom Weave Workshop with Julie Hicks

| £55.00Create a tactile textured weave using different fibres including merino and alpaca wools, wool roving, soft, twisted rope, Macrame cord and core spun wool to create your very own wall hanging.
During the workshop you will learn different techniques including Soumak braid, Tabby weave and Rya knots to name a few, to create something beautiful! Julie will show you how to warp up your loom and how to finish your piece of wall art ready to hang.
Julie Hicks is a Textile Artist who creates wall hangings in woven form and Macrame and using Punch needle embroidery. She also stitches mixed media pieces using fabric and fibres. She has a passion for colour and texture and loves to teach in a room full of like minded people.
All materials are provided and you will leave with a finished or nearly finished woven piece with all the tools/fibre you need to take home if you’re not quite there!
Suitable for all levels including complete novices and for age 16+.
