Paper cutting is a subtractive drawing process, using a craft knife to create negative space, allowing the remaining paper to appear as dynamic lines and shapes.

The process of paper cutting is deeply therapeutic and relaxing. Removing shapes to reveal a design takes you into an almost meditative state that sharpens focus and calms the mind.

This workshop is designed for you to take some time for yourself, to create a beautiful piece of art that you can then use to brighten up your home.

Sarah Dennis is a paper artist and illustrator whose work combines traditional papercutting techniques with collage. Sarah has worked with a range of clients including BBC Four, Tatler, The Guardian, Gosh Arts and is author of Make It By Hand Papercraft, Papercut Woodland and Paper Plants published by Carlton books.

All abilities welcome & all materials will be provided.

If you have an A3 folder bring it along to take your work home in.

This was one of the most popular workshops at our last festival, back by popular demand!
