Damien Hirst Style Youth Art Workshop: Artbase
Sat June 12 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Taking inspiration from Damien Hirst’s spin paintings, Artbase will help youngsters recreate his colourful masterpieces using pencil, poster paint and decoupage papers on a base of good quality cartridge paper.
They will experiment with colour blending and different brush techniques to emulate the striking patterns and shapes.
Returning to the festival after very popular art sessions in 2018, Artbase is run by Georgina and Beth; professional artists and qualified teachers who have also worked in children’s publishing and TV.
Based in Warwickshire and the Cotswolds they lead regular art classes in schools and run projects during school holidays and believe in the philosophy that you can never have enough Art! “We strive to bring something new and exciting and to make art more accessible to the local community”.
